Recommendations for National Media Policy Framework
FMETU with support from IFJ conducted an island-wide survey in July and August, 2024 to obtain views and suggestions from decision-makers in the media sector and journalists for recommendations for national media policy development. The proposals formulated through this consultation have been handed over to key candidates and representatives of political parties contesting the forthcoming Presidential election on 21 September, 2021 and also to Heads of media organizations and stakeholders.
We urge that these recommendations are given due consideration in formulating national media policy in the process of rebuilding Sri Lanka.
