Functioning from 16th February 2001, started as a programme producers’ union later transformed in to Radio Broadcasters’ Union. (Registered with the Department of labor)
Mission and Vision
- To safeguard rights, responsibilities and Broadcasting ethics of members.
- To create necessary environment for Radio Broadcasters to achieve their fullest potential in discharging their duties to the nation and promote interaction among broadcasters both local and international.
Current Activities
- To actively engage members in media campaigns launched by both international and local media organizations.
- To organize Media workshops.
- In the event of any injustice or harassment occurred to any follow journalist to take up such matters to the authorities concern.
- Functioning as a legally constitutes Trade Union.
- To actively engage members in public service Broadcasting.
